Find your way around Recoatly

A quick tour of the menu, search, the Create button, notifications and your own settings.

Updated

Everything in Recoatly is a click or two from the menu on the left. On a phone, tap the menu button at the top left to open it.

The menu

  • Work: Dashboard, My day, Schedule, Jobs, Dispatch board and Tasks.
  • Sales: Customers, Lead pipeline, Estimates, Price book and Measure.
  • Money: Invoices, Payments, Expenses and Analytics.
  • Field: Inspections, Forms, Gallery, Inventory, Team and Crew tracker.
  • Growth: Inbox, Team chat, Contracts, Automations, Marketing and Website.
  • Company: Settings.

Each person sees only the parts their role allows. A field technician, for example, doesn't see Invoices or Analytics.

Search and create

  1. Click the search bar at the top, or press Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac).
  2. Type a name, email or phone number, or an estimate, job or invoice number.
  3. Use the arrow keys and Enter to jump straight to the record.

To start something new, click Create at the top right and choose a customer or lead, an estimate, a job, an invoice or an appointment — or record a payment.

Notifications

The bell at the top right shows what needs your attention: an estimate approved, a payment received, a new enquiry. Click one to open the record, or choose Mark all as read.

Owners and office staff also get an email when a customer answers an estimate, pays online or signs a contract. Each person can turn those emails off in My profile.

Your own menu

Click your name at the bottom of the menu to:

  • Switch between light and dark mode under Appearance.
  • Open My profile.
  • Go to Company settings or Plan & billing, if your role allows.
  • See what your customers see with Customer portal preview.
  • Switch company, if you work for more than one.
  • Sign out.

Good to know

  • The badges next to menu items count things waiting on you, like overdue invoices, unscheduled jobs and estimates that need chasing.
  • Press / to open search when you're not typing in a box, and Esc to close a dialog.
