Questions, answered
How does the free trial work?
You get every feature for 30 days, and you don’t need a credit card to start. Subscribe whenever you’re ready — if you subscribe early, the first charge still waits until the trial ends. If you don’t subscribe, your account stays readable but becomes read-only. Nothing you entered is deleted.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Paying yearly costs $390 instead of $468 for twelve monthly payments — 2 months free, a saving of $78. Everything else is the same. Choose yearly when you subscribe, or switch at any time from Settings → Plan & billing.
Do you charge per user?
No. One subscription covers your whole company — owners, office staff, estimators and technicians — each with the permissions their role needs. Add as many people as you like; the price stays the same.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Plan & billing whenever you like. You keep full access until the end of the month, or the year on yearly billing, you have paid for, and there are no cancellation fees. Unused time is not refunded.
How is payment taken?
By card, through Stripe, billed monthly or yearly in US dollars. Recoatly never sees or stores your card number. You can change your card from Settings → Plan & billing.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, look things up and export your customers, invoices and expenses to a spreadsheet. Links your customers already have — estimates, invoices, the customer portal — keep working. Subscribe again and you pick up where you left off.
Do you take a cut of my card payments?
Card payments from your customers go through your own Stripe account, at Stripe’s standard processing rates, and Stripe pays out to your bank. Recoatly does not add a fee.
Is there a setup fee or a contract?
No setup fee and no contract. You pay month to month, or a year at a time if you choose yearly billing.
