• We use two essential cookies: one keeps people signed in to Recoatly, and the other keeps a business's customers signed in to that business's customer portal.
• We remember your choice of light or dark appearance in your browser.
• We don't use advertising, social media or other tracking cookies, and our pages load no third-party scripts except privacy-friendly analytics, when we switch it on.
• Because we use only what is strictly necessary for the service you ask for, we don't show a cookie consent banner.

rc_session

• Purpose: Keeps you signed in to Recoatly and identifies your session securely.
• Set when: You sign in.
• Lasts: Up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
• Details: First-party. HttpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read it; SameSite=Lax; and Secure, so it is only sent over HTTPS. It holds a random token, not your personal details.

rc_portal

• Purpose: Keeps a business's customer signed in to that business's customer portal.
• Set when: A customer opens a portal sign-in link.
• Lasts: Up to 14 days, or until they sign out.
• Details: First-party. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure. It holds a random token.

recoatly.appearance (local storage)

• Purpose: Remembers whether you chose light or dark appearance, so pages open in the right colors.
• Set when: You choose light or dark. Choosing to match your system setting removes it.
• Lasts: Until you change the setting or clear your browser data.
• Details: Stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Your browser may also keep copies of Recoatly's own files, such as scripts, styles and icons, so that pages load faster. These files contain no information about you.

We may use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit our public website and which pages they read. Plausible doesn't use cookies or store anything on your device. It counts visits using an identifier calculated from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next or across other websites, and your IP address is not stored.

When you subscribe to Recoatly, or a customer pays an invoice online, the payment happens on Stripe's own pages, where Stripe uses its own cookies — for example, to prevent fraud — under Stripe's cookie policy. Review sites and other websites that Recoatly links to have their own cookie policies too.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in to Recoatly or to a customer portal. Clearing your browser's data for our site resets your appearance choice.

Because we don't track you across websites, there is nothing to opt out of for advertising. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — which we don't do anyway.
