Export your data or delete your company

Your data is yours. The account owner can download a complete copy of everything your company has in Recoatly at any time, and can delete the company if you decide to leave.

Download all your data

1. Sign in as the account owner and go to Settings.
2. In the Your data panel, click Download all your data.
3. Keep the tab open while Recoatly prepares the file — it can take a minute for a busy company. The ZIP file downloads when it's ready.

The export works even when your account is read-only after a trial or subscription ends, so you never lose access to your own records.

What the export contains

• Spreadsheets of your customers, addresses, estimates, invoices, payments and jobs, ready to open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
• Data files with every record your company has in Recoatly.
• The photos, documents, signatures and receipts that were uploaded.
• A README.txt that explains what's inside and how to read it.

Passwords, sign-in details and the private links your customers use are left out on purpose.

Smaller exports

Anyone whose role allows it can download a spreadsheet from individual pages: Export on the Customers, Invoices and Price book pages, and on Team → Timesheets.

Delete your company

1. Download your data first if you might need any of it.
2. If you're subscribed, cancel under Settings → Plan & billing → Manage billing. You can delete the company once the subscription has ended.
3. In Settings, find the Delete this company panel and click Delete company….
4. Type the company name exactly as it appears, enter your password and click Delete this company.

Good to know

• Only the account owner can download a full export or delete the company.
• Deleting is permanent. Customers, estimates, jobs, invoices, payments, files and settings are removed, and everyone on your team loses access.
• Team members whose only Recoatly company it was have their sign-ins removed too.
• Copies in Recoatly's backups are removed within 90 days.
