Send email campaigns and ask for reviews
Email a group of customers chosen from your own records, and ask customers to review your work.
Updated
The Marketing page brings together your reviews, email campaigns, website enquiries and lead sources.
Send an email campaign
- Go to Marketing and click New campaign.
- Give it a Campaign name.
- Choose your Audience: the Stage, the Type (residential or commercial) and, if you like, only people who have been Quiet for at least three months or more. Recoatly shows how many customers match and a sample of names.
- Write the Subject and Body. Click a variable such as
{{customer.first_name}}to copy it, then paste it into your message. - Click Save draft to come back later, or Send now. Recoatly sends it in the background.
Who receives a campaign
Campaign emails go only to people you're allowed to market to: customers you've worked for in the last two years, and anyone who agreed to hear from you — either when they enquired, or because you ticked Agreed to marketing emails on their record. Recoatly leaves out anyone who unsubscribed, whose email bounced or who is marked Do not contact. Every campaign email includes an unsubscribe link.
Each customer's Details panel shows their Marketing email status, so you can see who's included and why.
Ask for a review
- On the Marketing page, click Request a review.
- Choose the customer, then write a short message or leave it blank to use the standard one.
- Click Send request.
Your customer gets an email with a Leave a review button. They rate the job from one to five stars and can add a comment. You're notified as soon as it arrives, and the review appears on the Reviews tab.
To ask automatically after every job, switch on the Thank you and review request automation.
Good to know
- A sent campaign can't be edited or sent again. To send something similar, start a new campaign.
- Use Write a reply on a review to keep a record of how you responded. Reviews of three stars or fewer are marked Needs a reply until you do.
- Written reviews can appear on your Recoatly website. See Publish your Recoatly website.
- Text message campaigns and review requests are coming soon.
